Diet Plan

The diet is meant for weight loss and detox. Only fresh fruits and vegetables are allowed in the diet plan. You should not consume any solid, processed, or fast food. There are several health benefits associated with this diet. Firstly, as you consume only fresh vegetables and fruits, you get all the essential nutrients (vitamins and minerals) from the diet. Secondly, vegetables contain fiber which helps in making the stomach quickly feel fuller. Vegetable juice also acts as a appetite suppressant. Therefore, this diet is claimed to be healthy.

It is advised to eat as many raw vegetables as possible in order to gain all the essential nutrients. The more you cook the vegetable, lesser the nutrients remain in it. You can try different vegetable juices every day to avoid monotony, and even experiment with different herbs to create new concoctions for your diet plan.

This diet is not meant for those suffering from chronic illness, or those who have recently undergone a surgery, or pregnant women. It is also advised to consult the doctor before going for this diet as one may suffer from potential side effects like headache, abdominal discomfort, diarrhea, etc., in the initial stages of this diet. The diet is also meant only for adults and should be followed under the supervision of a doctor or a nutritionist.

Although associated with some side effects and termed as a fad diet, it is relatively healthy as vegetables are healthy and contain beneficial nutrients. However, it is not meant for prolonged use as it lacks in proteins and carbohydrates. Therefore, if you are looking for a short-term diet for a quick weight loss, you can consider going for it. Take care!
