Increasing magnesium levels by foods

Question
Hello. I am hoping you know the answer to this.
I have suffered from very many thousands of premature ventricular contractions which the cardiologists say are benign. I also have suffered from migraines and frequent headaches. I have read that both can be related to low magnesium levels. My concern, question, is in reagards to taking magnesium or eating magnesium rich foods. I have what the cardiologist calls first degree heart block. On the internet I read anyone with heart block should not take magnesium. Would it be healthy to increase the magnesium through diet?

Answer
Dear Ginger,

With a diagnosis such as heart block, you might want to ask you doctor to do blood test for magnesium levels. If you are advised to go for Mg-rich foods, consult with the table Food Sources of Magnesium.
