Recommended College Diet

Question
As a college student, I am on a limited budget. What foods would you recommend that are cheap, but beneficial not only nutritional wise but satisfying my hunger.

Answer
Hi Dan,

Brown rice, legumes, RAW, not roasted nuts, dried fruit. Whole grain pasta, whole grain whatever, whole wheat couscous, scrubbed potatoes - don't peel them, fresh carrots, - real food. See http://www.premiumfuel.com for more on real food. Got a Traders Joe's? Or a restaurant supply? Got a freezer? - cook quanity, freeze servings - like a turkey.

Eat real food, to feel better, think better, look better. There is no better investment in time and $ than your health, but it doesn't take a lot of $.

In good health,
Susan O.
