Question
Thank you so much for your help.  I have one more qustion:  Should I increase my caloric intake too, for the surgery?  And if so, by how much?  I am a 22 year old female, about 125 lbs, 5'5", not very active.

I am about to have surgery on my nose in 10 days.  They are going to be breaking bones, moving cartilage, and there are going to be outside incision marks.  What types of vitamins and supplements should I take to aid in healing?  I already have the following:  Vitamin C, Zinc/Magnesium/Calcium, Iron, B Complex, Vitamin K, B Complex.  As for supplements I have Bromelaine and Arnica.  As for diet, I was told to drink tons of Pineapple juice.  What other vitamins, supplements, or foods would you recommend?  Thanks!

Hello Lori!

Thank for your nutrition question. Hope your surgery is a great success.  With regard to vitamin and minerals supplements, the best thing that I have found is a product called Juice Plus. It is made from 17 raw fruits, vegetables and whole grains.  Juice Plus is an easy way to get all the nutrients you need in order for you to heal properly and quickly because it bolsters the immune system, raises antioxidant levels, and improves blood flow. Synthetic supplements do not work as well as Juice Plus.  If you are interested it can be ordered at http://www.juiceblend.com
Please let me know what you decide.  Wishing you a speedy recover.  Feel free to email me or call me if you have anymore questions.

Thank you for the follow up question.  You are actually at your ideal body weight (125lbs) so I would not recommend increasing your calorie intake.  I would only recommend sticking with healthy eating habits and taking the Juice Plus supplements because it really works.  These are the best ways to help you recover.  When you are eating right your body has the materials to rebuild the tissues properly. Let me know how you do.
