Weight loss and no weight gain

Question
I am a 5'6 female, 20 year old sophmore at a private college.  When I came in as a freshman, instead of gaining the "freshman 15" I lost it.  I took the weight off fairly quickly with exercise and reduced caloric intake.  I kept the weight off for over a year and stayed at about 127 lbs.  Over this year I have been gaining the weight back.  I knew I had been workingout less and eating more last semester but this semester I have been getting back on my diet from last year.  On an average week I will workout on the elliptical machine or stairmaster for about 35-45 minutes 5-6 days a week and I weight train 3 days a week for 30-45 minutes.  I eat a multivitamin everyday, eating all three meals a day plus some snacks.  I eat protein, carbs, plenty of fruits and veggies and some healthy fat.  I feel like I still continue to gain weight and all my clothes, esp. my pants are tight.  I am afraid that I will continue to gain weight and I dont know why!  Please help!

Answer
I would suggest cutting back on your total calories.  Remember this might include alcohol and snacks, and cutting back on both might make the impact you need.

Your workout routine sounds great, keep it up.

Also, certainly some medications can cause weight gain.  If those are new, they might be partially responsible as well.
