energy AND food

Question
I am 13 years old and athletic. I am not overweight but i dont want to gane weight. I would like more energy from my food (i get a ton of sleep) but all the energy bars ive looked at have a ton of calories. What food gives adolescents energy without being filled with calories?

Thank you

Answer
calories translate into energy. How about fruit. Healthy, yet it has natural sugars that can give you energy. Diet sodas still have the caffeine to give extra energy. Granola bars, trail mix, graham crackers. There are lots of healthy choices. Gte reduced fat or fat free whenever you can to spare yourself the excess calories from fat.
