listening to the body

Question
Hi Susan, I need help! I am currently dieting again to get at least 100lbs. off my 5'9 , 32 yr old body. I was successful once in reaching a healthy lifestyle, at the age of 22 I weighed 253 and it took my right at a year to lose down to 170. I did it then by watching my fat grams, home exercise, and not eating after 6:30 except fruit or lt. popcorn. I also lived with my grandmother at the time to help assist her. Now I'm married and have a 3 yr old daughter, and I don't want to see her end up like me. My husband is a tall slim man and has never struggled with weight and don't understand how I could let myself get like this. Both of them are picky eaters and sometimes I feel like a short order cook, and they mostly want pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers etc... Currently I weigh 282, down from 309 when I started my diet. I have alot of weightloss knowledge ( at least I think so) However I just can't seem to get myself going. I am on the prescription drug
"phentermine" and it has helped me to recongnize when I'm full, and helped me to push back the plate. Something I read in your bio though made me take notice, you said to listen to your body to know what kind of food it is needing. I need more knowledge, motivation, and someone to answer to that won't critisize me. What advice do you have for me?

Answer
Hi Jannae,

Bag this 6:30 nonsense, eat when you are hungry, just eat smart. When you get what you need, you don't over eat. When you eat Flavored Packing Material, (hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza) you stay hungry, no matter how much you eat. Start getting off the diet pills asap. They are just lousing up your appetite, which is, honest, trying to be your best friend.

Read labels, but focus on qualtiy food and the quantity will take care of itself. REAL food actually tastes better, and the cravings for addictive junk goes away in 30 days or less.

Children who start to fatten up and get put on diets just get fatter. Include me. Diets do not work. Changing priorities and get on a plan you can live with for life is it.

Please see http://www.premiumfuel.com - it isn't about will power, self control, anywhere near as it's about packaged food that is as addictive as nicotine and cocaine. Not a theory, now clinically documented.

Good Health,
Susan L.
