Fruit and Vegetables

Question
I am 27 years old and trying to eat a more nutritious diet.  I love fresh fruit and vegetables but with all the recent diet fads I am worried about the carbs.  I am thinking that if I replace French Fries, candy bars and chips with broccoli, apples and bananas, that can only be a good thing, right?  What is your opinion?

Answer
YES, that is definitely a GOOD thing!  Don't worry so much about carbs!  As long as you are eating "good" carbs most of the time you are fine!  By that I mean fruits, veggies, and whole grains.  You can still fit the not so good carbs in, just less of the time such as sweets.  People are too hung up on NO carbs.  We need carbs in our diets!  We just have to learn to eat them in moderation and eat the ones that have more nutritional value more of the time.  Add all kinds of fruits and veggies to your diet!!  They are packed with fiber, vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients all of which can help keep you healthy!
Good luck,
