Fat in some places

Question
I am a 30 years old, 192 cm tall and 125 kg weight male. Yet, when you see me, you do not say I have obesity.. Just overweight.

The problem is that whatever diet I go through, I lose fat from everywhere in my body but my hips and legs. I tried everything you can imagine and I can lose like 20 kg in three months and I can spend the rest of my life on diet. But my hips, thighs and legs do not lose fat..

Is my problem in hormones? Genes? Please advise. Thanks.

Answer
You are absolutely correct.  Genes. If you evaluate the other males in your immediate family, I'm positive you'll see the same build in them that you find with yourself. It's just what makes us different and unique and often is associated with where in the world our ancestors lived.

The best you can do is make these areas less noticeable with the way you dress or by developing other areas.  Increasing shoulder and chest size will provide an illusion of smaller hips/thighs/legs. Wearing thicker soled heels/shoes will give the illusion of being taller and more slender.  Wearing your jackets below your belt area, but above the thigh will also trick the eye.

Swimming is the best overall body toning exercise (ever see those professional swimmers or Olympians?) and of course, just plain brisk walking (15 minutes a day - 3 days a week is all will really take) helps a lot!

Meanwhile, remember that anyone who mentions this to you is insensitive, shallow and probably has low self esteem themselves.  Ignore it. Make NEW friends. People who see you for more than the size you are.
And finally - many, MANY women prefer a larger sized man.  It's instinct.  No matter what the magazines and t.v. shows try to portray.
