Question
I have heard that alkaline foods will combat cancer and acid foods will not. Can you supply me with a list of alkaline type foods or tell me where to get it?
Have you heard of the above also or not?

Answer
Hello Bill,
To be honest I have heard of this BUT I have not read any specific studies or evidence that supports it.  In addition the field of oncology is not my specialty.  To find more information you may want to check out these web sites:
http://www.cancer.org
http://www.nci.nih.gov/
http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/
http://www.cancernews.com/default2.asp

Even though I am not sure of the validity of alkaline vs. acidic foods in cancer, here are a few lists that may help.  By providing these lists I am in no way telling you that this statement is true or false.

You should also speak to your doctor about this.
Thanks,
