happiness through nutrition

Question
Dear Ms Ottevanger,

I am researching an article about how to improve your mood and would be delighted if you could provide me with some information on what nutritional changes to diet would do most for boosting happiness and add to general life contentment. This will go with a section on exercise - pilates and dance in particular - and continues the article's aim to provide simple solutions to improving mood in everyday living.

I look forward to your reply,

Kat Brown

Answer
HI Kat,

De-cluttering one's "knowledge" of nutrition is number 1. A healthy appetite isn't about wanting to pig out, it means your body telling you what you need and when you've had enough, without your brain calculating the chemical contents. The only thing to obsess over is refined sugar/flour - avoid it, it is pure poison. A dab of butter here and there will not make you fat or give you a heart attack. Neither will salt - they have been blaming the wrong white crystals for decades. Please see http://www.premiumfuel.com for more on Real Food vs. Flavored Packing Material, PLAY vs. WORKING out, fun over pain and boredom.

Eat well, feel well, be well.
