Psyllium fiber supplement

Question
Hi,
I have no problem whatsoever with regularity.  My regular diet has a high degree of fiber as it is.  My question is whether there is any harm in adding a daily dosage of one of those citrus flavored fiber powders.  My hope is that drinking a glass of water with a tablespoon of this before a meal might decrease my hunger somewhat.

Answer
Carl,
I would say if you are already getting plenty of fiber in your diet that you don't need to do that.  There is such a thing as too much fiber!  I would suggest just a big glass of water before meals!  That would probably be just as effective and cost much less.  Not sure that drinking a fiber supplement right before a meal would work that quickly to fill you up.
Trying to eat healthy snacks in between meals can also help with hunger at meals.
