Greetings,

Could you recommend some healthy snacks that are easily available at local grocery stores. Something that is low in both, carbohydrates and fats.

Thank You
Answer -
Healthy snacks can include fruits, fresh vegetables, low fat yogurt, nuts, low fat cheese and whole wheat crackers, seeds such as sunflower seeds, whole grain cereal, dried fruits, reduced fat peanut butter on graham crackers, pretzels, rice cakes, etc...
I do not advocate low carb diets and do not feel they are necessary to lose weight so some of these snacks might not necessarily be "low in carbs".  Many low carb foods are high in fat AND calories so you need to be careful.  As long as you watch your intake of carbs and keep them moderate there is no need to cut them out of your diet.  They are an extremely important part of a healthy diet!

Answer
There is no specific brand that I suggest.  Any brand you enjoy that is "low fat", less than 3 grams of fat per serving.  As far as daily consumption it depends on your individual calorie needs. Cheese, whether it is low fat or not, does contain saturated fat and cholesterol so you want to eat it in moderation.
