I know sugar isnt good but I cant bring my self to eat flavorless food. how many times can I eat daily? I am wanting to eat alot less calories then reccomened by the chart on the link, it says I should be eating 1942.2 I can do 700/800 a day with exercise.... wouldnt this be better for losing weight? problem is I cant count calories with vegtables they dont haeva  sugested servining guide on them as cerals and other things do is there a web page that I can find out how many calories/carbs and such are in each serveing of fruits/vegtables? could you reccomend some good fruits/vegables because all I can think of is apples, grapes, bannans & carrots, thansk in advance for any more info.

Hi, I am about 20 pounds over weight for my age/height and I'd like to loss the extra weight, now going to a gym isnt psosible I can't afford it nor can I afford home exercise equitment, I was wondering how many calories should be in my daily diet while I'm dieting? also I do sit up/stumick crunches for a few minutes several times daily and go for a walk every evening the walk is ussaly at lest 20 minutes long as I walk with my dog then go to the stores near by and walk around for a bit before returning. I am also intrested in possible fasting every now and then for two/three days as I've heard of people doing this... I was wondering thou how long can someone go with just a bowl of ceral in the morning? and just water all day? as that would be my one meal of choice and water is my perfered bevrage anyways. Would fasting on and off throught the month along with a low cal diet and the exercise I'm getting now reduce my weight at all? I'd like to lose all 20 extra pounds. please let me know if you can help me thanks in advance.

Hello!

Thank you for your nutrition questions. The key weight loss is taking in less food and being more active.  Fasting is not a good way to lose weight because it leads to on and off dieting.  It also slows down your metabolism(rate which you burn calories.  The following website http://www.wvda.org will tell you how many calories you should be taking in.
Weight loss involves 2 things and they are eating right and getting more active physically.  You can start by eating more "whole" grains, fruits, vegetables, and legumes.  Make sure to avoid fried foods and high sugar foods.  You should also get physically active by doing 30 minutes of exercise daily such as walking.
There is also a great supplement on my website called Juice Plus that can help you burn the calories more efficiently.  It contains the nutrients from fresh fruits and vegetables.  The website to purchase it is http://www.juiceblend.com   Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions.

Dear Tara,

Thanks for the follow up question.  If you follow the keys to weight loss-eating right and exercise you should be able to lose 1-2lbs per week.  You need to cut back about 500 calories daily so make sure to be active and watch portion sizes of high calorie foods.
Gradual weight loss is usually permanent weight loss compared with quick weight loss which is temporary.  By making small lifestyle changes over time you will be able to achieve your goal.
You may want to consider the Juice Plus Thins on my website http://www.juiceblend.com to help you with getting started in the right direction.  Keep those questions coming!

Answer
Dear Tara,

Thanks for the follow-up. Visit the following website http://www.mypyramid.gov and it will help you plan a menu exactly to your taste and calories.  You should be eating 500 calories less then your daily requirement(1942cal)in order to lose one pound per week.  If you go less then 1200 calories per day you will actually slow down your metabolism(rate which you burn calories).  Let me know if you have more questions.
