tips for weight gain

Question
Leigh-Anne,

I need some tips on how to put some weight on my two year old daughter.  She only weighs 21 pounds and the doctor suggested pedisure but my daughter doesn' like it.  She eats good in my opinion ( better than my four year old daughter did at this age) but doesn't gain much weight.  Thank you for your time.
Tanya

Answer
toddlers will be toddlers. It is a well known fact that some toddlers just won't eat. You can't force them to eat, but you can still control what they eat, and what they need to eat is healthy food. Some people think that if you can get them to eat anything (meaning junkfood, etc) then that's good enough. but let truth be told that they still need to eat healthy foods. They will snap out of this phase sooner or later... then they will get hooked on a few foods at a time. One minute they like something and the next it's the worst food in the world. Don't worry... she won't starve herself. If she is hungry enough she will eat.
