food from cattle

Question
I would like to ask your opinion. I read in a magazine where the author felt that people should not eat products from cattle as he felt that cow-produced products; including meat, cheese, milk, supplements, etc. the human body does not digest. The only thing, he said we get out of cow-produced products is fats and oils, a lot of!, of which we do not need, obviously, everything else goes out our bodies.

What do you think?

Answer
Hello Bob!

Thank you for your nutrition question.  It is not healthy to cut out entire food groups from our diets.  Meat is needed for iron and protein.  Dairy products contain calcium which is needed for healthy bones. Yes, these foods do contain fat however, if eaten in moderation these foods can fit a healthy lifestyle.
As for supplements, many are not absorbed well by the body which is why I recommend a whole food supplement called Juice Plus which is made from fresh fruits and vegetables.  To learn more visit http://www.juiceblend.com Keep those questions coming
