Answer
Hi Suresh,

I apologize for taking so long to respond to your question. There has been a death in my family and I have not been able to keep up with my email.

A good all round supplement that contains vitamins and minerals and that is also high in protein and calories, would most effectively meet your father's needs. Ensure, Boost, or any store brand equivalent would all be acceptable choices (there is very little difference between the brands nutritionally, however they all taste slightly different). Some brands offer a "high protein" or "plus" version which offer a little more nutritional content (the "plus" version is not appropriate if your father has diabetes as it is too concentrated in carbohydrates).

Be Well,

Karen
