cellulite

Question
I don't know if you can help me with this question or not.  Everyone seems to focus on overweight problems but we thin woman have problems too.  I am 5ft. 6in. tall and weigh about 117.  I have gotten cellulite on my butt down to my knees and have no idea how to get rid of it.  I don't need to loose weight but short of surgery I'm confused on what to do. Can you help guide me?   Thanks, Issa

Answer
Isabelle,
Many times cellulite is hereditary so my guess is your Mom and/or grandmother had the same problem.  It is where you store fat on your body.  The best way to try to get rid of cellulite is exercise and a healthy diet!  Even though you don't need to lose weight you still need to eat a healthy diet and watch the amount of added fat, sugar, calories that you eat.  I would look into a few sessions with a personal trainer to learn how to target your problem areas through physical activity.  You can check out www.mypyramid.gov to make sure you are eating properly!
