Who would I contact to volunteer for a gastric pacemaker?
The last randomly assigned, controlled clinical trial investigating the efficacy of the gastric pacemaker in 100 patients was being conducted at 7 centers. The New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, was the lead center, with Dr. Scott Shikora serving as the trial's principal investigator.
I believe the trials are over; however, contacting this Medical Center may help give you leads for any new ones being conducted and/or the results of the initial trials.
