prayer & health issues

Question
How have you used prayer to help you with your issues?  I am a christian and am doing a lot a prayer for many aspects of my life.  Happily married to another christian for 8 years, but we want children.  I have Polycystic ovarian syndrome, type - 2 diabetes, graves disease (now hypo-thyroid), and low motivation due to either a learning disability or ADHD.  I have a lot on my plate and juggle as best I can but I am always looking for guidance.

Also do you know if you can get a PhD in divinity if your Master's is in something like - say Speech therapy like mine?

Thanks for your time.

Christine

Answer
I am a Christian as well, but function as a nondenominational minister. Attaining a Doctor of Divinity with a major in anything else (as far as I know) is possible. I majored in psychology, minor in sociology and continued to achieve certifications in nutrition and animal care fields.

I've been diagnosed with systemic lupus, but am doing remarkably well, with few exacerbations. I feel strongly that my faith is my strength.
There is no limit on miracles. If you need 10,000 a day, you can have them. For a God who has no beginning, no end, no time - there is no limit on love.
Prayer, to me, is a dedication of every day to doing the right thing, no matter how difficult. To doing what's in front of me to do, no matter how much I don't feel like doing it.
I'm not sure I can explain, but it supercedes the pain and the exhaustion. Of course, by the end of the day, well, 'owwww', but there's room for medical science too and at night I appreciate the meds.

Polycystic ovaries don't necessarily mean a childless future. I had two children and then a hysterectomy to treat the same disease.
Getting the diabetes under control with weight loss can also help the Graves.
Take a look at my site for health to get some options for eating plans.  Click on the Scales you'll see there.
