Im getting bigger

Question
I am a 19 year old guy that weighs 200 pounds and an am 6'1, and i wear
a size 44 suit.It seems that every year i gain about 10 pounds. I
exercise and my stomach is still getting fatter. Even though i like to eat
i'm almost the biggest guy in my family. my father was a BIG guy(husky
not obese) and i think i going to end up like him. I've gotten to the
point where i'm looking foward to becoming a huge guy. I want to lose
weight but i think no matter what i do i'll just keep getting husker and thicker. I
told myself that i'll go on a diet the day i can wear a size 40 waist
with no belt. Currently i wear a 36 so i have a few more years to indulge.
Should i take my weight gain serious or just keep eating a let nature
take it's course?

Answer
Yes, you should most certainly take your weight gain seriously.  Being overweight is very dangerous to your health and it sounds like an ongoing problem for you.  You really do need to take care of it now while you are young before you start to develop the health problems that can come along with it.  My recommendation is to see a dietitian in your area that can help you make lifestyle changes.  It shouldn't be about dieting but rather about making permanent lifestyle changes that will stick!
You can find a dietitian in your area by going to www.eatright.org.
