Targeting Specific Areas

Question
Hi.  Thanks for taking the time to read this.  I'm 24, 6'2", 175lbs.  Overall, I'm a thin build.  However, I have a fatty chest and stomach.  How can I remove the fat in these areas (my chest specifically).  I tend to eat fatty foods and would prefer not to alter my eating habits too much...like I said, I'm very thin everywhere else.  Should I join a healthclub or just start a running regimen?  What exercises do you suggest to target these areas?  I'm thinking about trying a product like Xenadrine or Hydroxycut.  Any thoughts?

Answer
First and foremost, do NOT buy any of those products. They are all absolutely worthless. If you read the fine print you'll see "results NOT typical" and you also need to follow a LOW calorie diet with approx. 60 minutes of exercise a day. Well, you could do these all by themselves and get results. The product is useless.

As for spot toning, it depends on what you see when you look at your family. If you see YOUR body shape on family members, this is a hereditary thing. Some of us are just prone to having wider shoulders or hips; round faces or knobby knees (whatever it is we don't like is usually what we have to live with).

You can make your body the best it can be and the most toned, but no exercise or product will alter nature (no matter what they promise).

Exercise need not be that complicated either. The number ONE most efficient and overall exercise is swimming. Not necessarily Olympic style - just getting in the water and moving is enough. 15-30 minutes 3 or more times a week should show results pretty fast too!
The number two BEST exercise? Walking. Not running and not even speed walking - just a nice brisk walk (still able to carry on a conversation). 10-20 minutes a day (twice a day would be better) and you'll have results in a matter of a couple weeks if you also watch your food intake.
