weigh in and menstrual cycle

Question
I'm a 21 year old female trying to lose approximately 10-15 pounds.  i weigh myself once a week, but notice that on weeks when I am going to get my period I have a great urge to overeat, and even if I resist, I tend not to go down on the scale.  is this due to water weight/bloating or should I disregard this? i feel like i have a setback once every 4 weeks.

Answer
HI,

It is normal to gain a pound or even a few before your period.

Always, eat as soon as you start to feel hungry, THEN you have more control of WHAT you eat, and can eat something good for you rather than the first thing chewable.
