absorption of food

Question
What is the order in which things are absorbed into the body after
eating them? If I eat chocolate and throw up immediately, there's
nothing there. If I eat wine gums or lasagne, there is, even after
two hours, or if I've eaten something like chocolate more recently
than the lasagne. So what happens to food just after being eaten,
and why does some stay in the oesophagus longer than others?

And specifically, which foods vanish soon after eating?

Answer
As long as the body is working efficiently (which absolutely requires eating ALL food groups, despite the latest diet crazes):
Sugars/carbohydrates are burned by the body first and fastest; proteins and fibers are slower.

Bulimia, by the way, doesn't work. I tried for more than 30 years. Just got bigger and bigger because it messes up your metabolism.

I DID figure out what does work though and have been a size 4 for at least the last SIX years without even trying!
