Athletes nutrition and dietting information

Question
Hello,
I am wondering what an athlete in training should be consuming.  I'm hoping to get some ideas on what I can have for breakfast, lunch, supper, snack, and pre-game/workout foods.  I'm trying out for a college basketball team at the end of April and I know that the things I eat before hand can really effect my energy level.  what would you recommend?  I'm doing strength training 3 days a week as well as cardio 4 days a week.  I'm gearing up for this try outs but if I make the team I will need to continue this into the off season. You suggestions will be very appreciated.  Thank you!

Amy
