Can I burn 4000 Calories a day?

Question
i was wondering if you burn off around 4000 calories a day due to exercise and eat like egg whites and carrots and celery would you lose weight with a slow metabolism??? and how much would you lose????

Answer
Dear Jenna,

Let me give you a couple examples so you see whether or not it's possible.

If you are a professional cyclist and race at 20 mph, you'll burn 1500 Calories, so to burn the 4000 Cal., you'd need to cycle 2.66 hours every day. I guess you are not THAT fit? Let's talk walking.

If you walk one mile for 17 minutes, you'd need to walk for 11.6 hours every day. For 13 min/mile, it'd be "just" 7 hours a day.

With these numbers, what you eat would matter not that much.

Hope it can help,
