---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: well im on the nutrisystem diet and the meal contain tons of sodium so i figured if i was to take the diuretic i would lose retained water.

Answer
This seems like a question for your physician. He/She will know your body and your needs better than me. I don't like to recommend drug use unnecessarily.

If you are drinking plenty of water throughout the day the excess sodium should not be a huge problem. Still, if you are retaining water and are concerned you should talk to your doctor.

Sorry I could not be of more help on this one.
