carrots

Question
I'm dieting, and as a snack I've taken to eating up to 1/2 lb. of raw carrots a day.  Is there any reason I should not do so?

Answer
Hello Robbi!

Thank you for your nutrition question.  Carrots contain beta-cartene which help reduce risks of developing cataracts and macular degeneration so eating them will only benefit your health.  If you get tired of carrots try snacking on broccoli which is a great source of fiber.
Since you are trying to eat healthy, you might want to also look into a supplement made from fresh fruits and vegetables such as Juice Plus. It is comes in capsule or tablet form. The website for it is www.juiceblend.com
