losing 20 lbs

Question
Hi I'm 16 5'0 151 lbs and would like to lose 20 lbs by Aug 16. more so my belly fat. what and if I can is the best way to do this? is it possible to loss more weight

Answer
Dear Ronisha, I would start with a more achievable goal of ten pounds in 6 weeks. To do this, you will have to keep track of all your calories and exercise everyday-start today. Thirty minutes of walking everyday combined with a diet containing only 1500 calories, should provide you with a weight loss of 10 pounds in the next month and 1/2. To increase your weight loss, you will have to step up your exercise to do whatever you can fit in your schedule. I would leave the calories at 1500 so you can maintain your muscle mass and not slow down your metabolism. Give it a try and again, start today. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
