Question
My son is 17 years old and recently has lost about 45lbs. He can't seem to lose in his lower belly and is starting to get discouraged. Can you give me any advice for him? Thank you.

Answer
Dear Julie, If he still has some weight to lose, then he will eventually see results as the last pounds are shed. Weight lifting and crunches and other abdominal exercises that target the lower abds like leg lifts, will firm the muscles and help them appear smaller. Weight lifting will also increase his metabolism allowing him to shed those last pounds a little quicker. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
