40 Pounds!

Question
I desperately want to lose the 40 pounds I put on since going to collage.  I have tired to eat better and try for smaller portions but the food is great and I continue eating when I am full.  I don't know how to break this habit I have I have been trying for about a year.  I even have motivation, I am getting married in June but I still cant break my overeating.  Please help me if you can.  :-/

Answer
Hi Amanda,
Why do you think that you overeat? Is it stress, not eating enough during the day (only eating once or twice), are you eating for some other emotional reason? There might be an underlying psychological reason that counseling may help with.
Either that or you just have to have some self control. I know that sounds simplistic, but it's no different than someone with a habit to spend more money than they have. Ultimately, they have a choice to stop shopping so much, save money and be better off, or continue doing the very thing that is making their life more difficult. The choice is yours.
