Answer
Hi Geraint,

As a 15 year old you should not be following any strange diet plans- even for sports. Shoot for a general 40-20-20 diet. That is 40% complex carbs such as whole grains, vegetables (5-9 servings a day), some fruits; 20% fat from nuts, seeds, olive oil, a little butter or cheese, yogurt; and 20% protein from lean meats, legumes, tofu, milk, whey protein shake... do not over do the protein- it will not improve your performance!

Also, I don't know your height and weight but you are still growing and active so don't cut your calories short! You should probably be getting at least 2500 to 3000 calories a day.

Thank you,

Dan Haley, CNC
