Getting rid of belly fat

Question
QUESTION: Hi :), well where to start. How about giving some slight background (relating to the topic of course lol), well im 6'1 maybe 5'11 (if thats real height? not sure) and weigh 186. Im 16 and live in a town that teenagers party alot, ive been probably too many parties where my "beer" belly started since gr.8 (summer time). I exercise quite a bit from normal routine but nothing out of the ordinary, though most of me is muscle, my arms are toned as are my legs and can lift quite a bit of weights. To describe my belly, I can see my abs underneath already except partially middle and last 2 due to the belly fat. My health is quite good, can run far distances at a fast speed, play sports, do normal physical activities well enough so im not too out of shape. I eat somewhat healthy but my weight has been at a plateau for a good year, never lost less, never gained more. I love fruits, vegetables (except mushrooms), spices and ill eat beef, chicken and turkey. I dont like pork (except bacon which I dont have much of), veal and seafood. I eat no seafood at all, one thing ill eat from the sea is sea weed lol. I dont enjoy junk food that much, I may have some once or twice every 2 weeks, I do have a coffee about each day seeing as my Oyap program starts to early and it kills me to get on time each day for school, but its only 1 coffee once a day. I also did smoke marijuana for the longest time, so the "munchies" effect did overcome me and I did eat quite bit of junk food but Ive recently quit and plan to stick to quitting, but even with that im still plateuing. All I want to do is lose that 10-20 pounds to get rid of my belly fat, I have belief in you Tanya!! :P I hope I gave enough to be able to help me, I want to turn a new, sober, leaf lol. Any questions or other concerns please do ask and try to answer as best as possible as long as its relevant.

ANSWER: Hi Andrew,

I think what you need is a good systematic and not too restricted diet/exercise plan. Why wouldn't you take a look at a diet (it's free) I developed and tested on almost 1500 dieters, http://bantadiet.com - if you think it can work for you, go sign up for your first week at:

http://dietandbody.com/plan

The plateau issue will be discussed there in due time as well and the belly fat problem.

Let me know what you decide, OK?
