loseing weight over the march break

Question
I am 15 years old, i weigh 157 lbs and my daily in-take is around 2500 calories. I was wondering how many calories to eat during the day to start off with. I don't regularly exersise and all i have at home is a tredmill, an exersize ball and 5lb dumbells. My goal is to lose around five pounds over the break. How should i start with exersizing and my daily in-take?

Answer
Melyssa,  To start with, try eating about 1700 calories per day. You have to exercise everyday to lose weight. Strive for 30 minutes per day of any exercise. If you have a treadmill, then do the treadmill, or just walk. The more exercise you can do, the more weight you can lose. So add your sit-ups with the ball, and try to lift your light weights at least three times per week. Half of The first 5 pounds lost is usually water weight, so keep up the exercise until you consistently have a 5 pound weight loss it might take a few weeks.
