160, and wanting to lose some weight

Question
Hey! How are you? I have a question about dieting/losing weight, and i hope you can help me out on this. Thank you for your time and patience!
I am 5'5 and i weight 160. I wish to lose around 30 pounds. I have a pear shaped body, with most fat on my thigh and behind area.I'll say i'm pretty active, and the food i eat is pretty healthy (it's school food). But i want to lose weight/tone up quicker for the summer. I'm wondering if you have any advice/diets/exercis plans for me?

Answer
School food is FAR from healthy. I have two kids in high school where they consider ketchup a vegetable, and french fries are obviously a healthy carbohydrate! NOT!

Losing weight is SIMPLE, but it's not EASY. You need to eat healthy foods and burn more calories than you take in. Simple? Yes. EASY? Not always.

For ideas on the right kinds of foods to eat, see my web site. There's lots of info on there including meal plans and what NOT to eat. There's also a long list of exercises you can do - including lifting weights (which everyone hates, but it's really necessary!)

See my web site for lots of information on proper nutrition and exercise. Download my FREE eBook, "Rick's 18 Tips for Healthy Weight Loss."
