Nutritional content of Brewers Yeast and Bakers Yeast

Question
Dear Ms Zilberter,

I have recently found out I am several months pregnant and am a little worried as I have had B vitamin deficiencies in the past. I am now taking 400mg vitamin B supplements, but before I realised I was pregnant I was only taking 2 - 3x 500mg Brewers' Yeast tablets Monday - Friday. Could you please tell me the nutritional content of 500mg of Brewers' Yeast, to help me work out my intake?

Best regards,

Rebecca

Answer
Rebecca,

I have only percents of daily allowances for Brewers' Yeast but more  details on bakers' yeast (see the link below) so you maybe can calculate the amounts using these two.

So here goes Brewers' Yeast:

Serving Size: 30g (2 Tbs.)

Daily Value

Iron         10%
Thiamin (B1)      80%
Riboflavin (B2)      90%
Niacin (B3)      50%
Folate         15%
Vitamin B12      5%
Magnesium      8%
Panthothenic Acid   6%
Zinc         10%
Copper         50%
