Energy drink, protein boost, corn syrup

Question
I currently drink 1 High Protein Boost drink per day as a food supplement. My personal trainer has told me not to drink this any more because it contains the following:
Protein: 24% (modified milk ingredients)
Carbohydrate: 55% (corn syrup solids, sucrose)
Fat: 21% (canola oil, high oleic sunflower oil, corn oil)
Caloric Density: 1.01 cal/mL
Water Content: 85%
Osmolality: 650 mOsm / kg water
Gluten Free, Lactose Free, Low Residue

My trainer is concerned about the corn syrup solids, sucrose. Is this correct. I workout at least 1 hour everyday and questioned my trainers direction to stop drink the Boost Drink.
