17-Male-Athlete-Diet Issues

Question
Dear Phil,

My name is Adam. I am 17 years of age, and i am currently attending highschool as a senior. Ive come to you for advice and guidance towards a better diet, and a leaner body. I am a football/lacrosse player. i am having trouble with my diet, that is that i dont have any kind of diet in place. My main problem is that i love to eat, I simply love food. But It seems i am always eating, and i know that there are ways to midigate the situation. I am noticing more body fat, and its just not something i want. I Love working out, and i work out regularly, but i do not run or do cardio regularly. Is there any solutions, or any advice that you could offer me, that would help me to achieve my goals? Thank you for your time,

 - Adam.

Answer
Keep that love for food its going to make you Big, powerful, strong and FAST. What you need for your sport. You should always be eating and lean your goals to performance as long as you are doing so and your performance is increasing your going good.

Keep the same HIGH intake swing it to where it is 90% good foods meat, eats, dairy, fruit veggie etc and then10% junk and you'll make killer progress

Make the cardio you do sport specific lot long distance but High Intensity Interval training, like sprints etc.. then hit he weights and play the sport

#1 eat to perform. A LOT of thinking of late is misguided and thinking that you need 100% clean, you need the calories as overall.
