having or not having breakfast affects appetite at lunch

Question
As long as I can remember, whenever I eat breakfast in the morning, I'm a lot more hungry at lunch time. But when I eat nothing in the morning, I'm not neas as hungry at lunch time. Is there a clinical reason for that?  Thanks

Answer
Lee, I'm not sure I can answer this question.  I have had many people tell me this.  I do know that if you include a protein source at breakfast (protein takes longer to digest and is more satisfying) you won't get as hungry as when you have mostly carbs.  Most of us tend to have carbs for breakfast which is not good.  We need protein and carbs.
