weight loss and hunger

Question
Hello! I am a 55 year old women who never had a weight problem until 2 years ago when menopause began-I just started gaining weight with no change to my diet. I tried to exercise by joining a gym but in six months I didn't lose a pound! I worked out 6 days a week, doing cardio and weight training. I have now gained 35 lbs and am miserable. I am taking bhrt but still trying to get the dosing correct. My testosterone level was a 7. I typically eat 1/2 of a true whole grain bagel with a very thin smear of butter for breakfast along with 2 cups of coffee with h/h. For lunch I eat one of the following-1/2 low fat cottage cheese with indiv. serving of unsweetened pineapple, or a 100 calorie yogurt, or 1 pkg. of quaker weight control oatmeal or 1 english muffin with 1 slice of american cheese. I eat a normal portion of a healthy dinner. I cook fresh foods. Here is my problem (aside from not being able to lose weight!) Not long after dinner, I feel very hungry. I have very little appetite during the day, but make myself eat something. Dinner contains the most food and always is meat, veg. and carb. I actually get that gnawing kind of hunger about 2 hours after I eat. I usually have to have a small bowl of cheerios with 1% milk and half a banana or else the feeling will prevent me from sleeping. What is causing this? Thanks

Answer
Lynn, I think that you might be limiting your calories too much early in the day.  You might try adding a protein source to breakfast.  Protein is important to have at every meal, it helps stabilize our blood sugar because protein takes longer to digest.  Another option is trying Bios Life Slim, a fiber-based supplement.  I do sell it (disclaimer) but I have seen it help many, many people (including myself) with their appetite, especially after dinner.  If you would like more information, please email me and I can send you a short video by email about it.

Thanks,
