Weight Loss & Exercise

Question
If I'm on a 1200 calorie per day diet which is what I need in order to loose 2 pound per week & I stay within my calorie range but burn 500 calories exercising, can I then add that 500 calories back to my calorie intake & still get the same results?

Answer
You should be able to, assuming that there isn't a metabolic issue at play. But don't trust your cardio machine to tell you how many calories you have burned, they are notorious liars when it comes to calories burned per session. They seem to have more realistic numbers.
