Why am I not losing weight?

I am a 17 year old girl, about 165-170 pounds, 5"6. For a year now, I have been "dieting" I started out at 1850 calories, and slowly worked the number down. For probably about 4-5 months, I have only been eating 1300 calories a day. Sometimes I go over, maybe once a week at most, but even when I do, I don't go over a lot of calories. I know I don't have a great diet, but I try to eat a banana or a serving of corn everyday, to get at least one fruit or veggie a day. I eat tuna fish sometimes, lean cuisine dinners, salads, and not the big calorie packed ones either. I also eat lean pockets sometimes, and only drink water. I have cereal too, but only one serving with half a serving of milk with it. I eat those 100 calorie packs a lot. I do eat chocolate a lot, but only a little bit a day, for example I might have 3 small cookies, or a couple mini reeses or hershey kisses. So I don't eat a lot of junk food at all. For a few weeks I was, but I haven't in a good while. I rarely eat fast food, sometimes a chicken sandwich from wendy's, or a small frosty, but I try to keep that to a minimum. So I know it's not a diet a nutritionist would give, but I don't think it's bad either. Compared to how I ate before i started dieting, it's such a huge difference in not only the calorie amount but the type of food I eat as well, I don't see how it's even possible for me to have not lost a good bit of weight, I notice NO difference in my body, The scale shows maybe like 2 or 3 pounds lost, but that's it after a whole year almost. I don't really exercise. For awhile I did like 15-20 min of walking a few times a week. Then I tried doing at least 20 min of the treadmill at 3.8 miles per hour. But I have a job now, and really do not have time to exercise but 2 days a week, because of school. I haven't been doing any those 2 days, because I feel like giving up. I feel like just eating whatever the heck I want and not caring, I look the same as I did before I even started, so why bother trying to stay on this diet when nothing happens. Mine as well enjoy eating what I want. I've totally lost any hope. I wanted to be thinner by summer, because I will be meeting someone, he won't care what I look like, but I can't be happy unless I look different. I don't expect to have some perfect body or a totally flat stomach. I just want it smaller. I don't know why I have so much fat on my body. My stomach is fairly big, I have I guess what you'd call a fat roll right below my breasts, my top inner thighs are flabby, and that area that's not my stomach, but not exactly my vagina either, is fatty as well. These are the main places I really want to fix. I'm not a huge person, you can't notice any of the things I just mentioned when I'm wearing clothes, but obviously I want to look decent without clothes too. As i asked before, how is it possible for me to have lost basically nothing, with the huge difference in how I eat now and how I used to? Is there anything I can do? What am I doing wrong? As I said I don't mind my stomach having a little pooch, I don't need it to be perfectly flat, but I can't stand how my body looks right now. As I said I only have time to exercise 2-3 days a week, of which I'd have 30 min to an hour to do it. Like I said, I just want to get rid of the fat roll under my breasts, make my stomach smaller, and get rid of that other fatty area I mentioned. Sorry this is so long, thanks for your time.

It is time for tough love Lela to come out. In your question i see a lot of excuses and a lot of hemming and hawing- My question to you is- "Are you ready to change, or not?" If you are motivated to create a different life for yourself it is going to take more than one fruit OR vegetable per day, It takes more than 30 minutes or exercise per week. If you are going to give up when you haven't REALLY started, you aren't going to get anywhere.

Write down everything you eat. Walk every chance you get. Take the stairs when you get the opportunity. Eat LOTS of fruits and veggies. Eat more whole foods and less of the diet foods you are eating now ( lean pockets, frozen dinners, etc.) You CAN do this, you just have to put more of your time and energy into it- The good news is the healthier you are the better you will feel, the more energy you will have!
