ANSWER: Dear Sade, Calories do count and the type of food you eat is important. Strive for 1500 calories per day and try to eat food that is not easily stored as fat. Choose a low carb diet like South Beach or Atkins. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com

QUESTION: you didn't really leave much information but should i continue to do the same exercise is it possible to lose 35  pounds in 15 weeks. im not to big on counting calories i just try to eat healthy i think i get about 900 a day

ANSWER: Dear Sade, Your exercise routine is fine, your calories at only 900 per day seem too low. You need to eat food to stimulate your metabolism and to lose weight. Try a high protein diet like Atkins or South Beach. Thirty five pounds in 15 weeks is a reachable goal, eating healthy is fine, but you really should be counting calories. QUESTION: how do you count calories what if i try weight watcher again

Answer
Dear Sade, If you can afford Weight Watchers, then go for it. They have a point system that actually calculates the calories for you so you don't have to. They determine what amount of points you have to eat in a day and that amount usually is equal to a certain amount of calories.
It's very easy to count calories on your own. There are many free calorie counters on-line or just look at the serving size and read the label or get a book on calorie totals. Add them up as you eat and drink the food and keep a total for the day. Try to eat 4 small meals through out the day and try to keep those meals under 400 calories each. Read every label. Some food has a lot of calories, other food does not. Hope that helps, Laura Kraemer,Slimkids.com
