Question
Regarding food choices...Should one choose low fat foods over regular on a regular basis?  Does it really make much of a difference?  Thank You!

Answer
Hi Jennifer,

Obviously having too much fat is bad for you so always go for a lower fat alternative but be careful, as many foods substitute sugar for fat when they call it 'low fat'. Actually, you are getting the same rubbish nutrition, and sugar turns to fat in the body if it is not used up straight away.

The problem with the obesity epidemic is way more to do with too much hidden sugars in food than excessive fat consumption.

Always look at the ingredient list and beware anything that says:

molasses, syrup, sugar, fructose, sucrose, as these are all sugars.

All the best.
