Question
Hello, I was just wondering as I cannot find a straight answer on the internet. Would you know how many calories a calzone with: aubergines, Red peppers, olives, goats cheese, rocket, pine nuts, tomatos and mozzarella would have? even if it is just roughly? Thanks.

Answer
I would say, roughly, anywhere from 500 to 1500 calories!
The problem is there are too many varieties of sizes.  Some are large for one person and some easily serve 4 people!
For every piece that is the size of a slice of bread (count the crust on each side!) and depending on how thickly the cheeses are laid on it, I would estimate about 300-400 calories (as if you were eating a cheese sandwich).  That would be about 4 by 4 inches.
So if your calzone is, say 6 by 8 inches it might be 900-1200 calories.   IF there are a lot of olives this will add more calories, as well, but there are usually just slivers of olives contained.

I hope this helps a little--it's definitely a high calorie meal in any case!
