Question
I just ran across your thread about losing weight in the last 2 weeks for a competition.  Our Biggest Loser's competition ends on April 15.  Your previous response said to start drinking 2 gallons of water 10 days out.  I only have 6 days.  I am currently in 7th place ( as of April 2).  The difference between me and the 1st place is about 2 pounds.  What should I do these last 6 days?  Would some kind of colon cleanser be helpful?

Thank you!

Answer
Gina-

I take it his competition is just based on simple scale weight and not real fat lost as getting weight down for a comp is NOT real weight you simple dehydrate and lose glycogen stores. Yes I lost 28 lbs in 15 hours but it was for a meet weight in and I purposely gained 32 back in the next 24 hours.

To many of these biggest lower comps are based on scale weight and thats worthless even the silly useless TV series is. It should be based on body comp fat % lost thats means you could actually gain weight by gaining muscle but lose fat.

Anyway you got 6 days left and if its just scale weight. Load on water now a LOT 2-3 gallons a day and the last day prior drop the water and food to nothing as little as you can drink maybe suck on an icecube and spit, bundle up in LOTS of clothes in a warm place and sweat. BE careful though I am not by any means saying such an extreme measure is safe and NOT for anyone with any health problems. hold off on any drinking until the second you step off the scale. If you can  as well get someone to drive you.
