Trying to Loose weight

Question
I am an 18year old female im 5'6" and 289lbs. I have been trying for a month to loose weight but i havent gone any farther than 287. I exercise every day, i usually walk 3miles and jog one mile. I try to limit my calorie intake as much as possible. I would like to at least get down to 200 lbs but after working so hard with no results that seems impossible. What other things can i do that will give me a better chance of loosing weight?

Answer
Brittanie,
First you want to write down everything you eat. This will help you take honest account of what you are eating and how balanced your diet is. You should be eating between 1650 and 1850 calories per day. You can track calories and see how healthy your diet is on nutritiondata.com

Add some intervals to your walk. Try warming up for 10 minutes then jog for 5 then walk for 10 then jog for 5 and so on. Gradually you will be able to increase your jog and decrease your walk time. Some strength training will probably be in your best interest as well.

If you haven't cut all the liquid calories out of your diet, do so. Soda's and sugary drinks are easy to slurp down and hard to burn off. Replace them with water and unsweetened green tea, which helps to boost your metabolism.

Hope this helps,
