Constipation after working out

Question
Hi there,

This is a recent problem of mine.  I was working out regularly before and had
no problems with it.  I stopped working out for about a month and then I
went back.  When I did, I noticed that I'm constipated the next day after I
work out.  I do about 10-40 minutes of cardio (depending on the time I have)
and some Pilates and stretching.

I drink about 2-3 litres of water a day (gym or no gym) and I consume just
about enough fibre.

What could I be doing wrong and how could I resolve this?

Thanks!

Answer
Marie,
Try drinking a little more water. It may be that your body is used to the amount of water you drink, and so when you work out it doesn't feel it has any to spare to deal with sweating or "movements". If that doesn't work, you may need to talk to your doc, there might be an obstruction of some kind.
