Question
I was impressed with your background information so wanted to ask some questions.  I'm 50 yrs old and of course have tried every diet there is. I'm tired of the yo-yo dieting. I can never find a routine of dieting that lasts very long and get totally frustrated. What kind of suggestions can you give me to be healthy, have energy and stay well.  Thank you

Answer
HI Lexa,

You are not alone, ever notice how many diet books there are and how people in general keep getting fatter and fatter?

You go on a diet, first you lose a couple pounds of water, so you think the diet is working. But that was just water that you needed, meanwhile, you metabolism drops to Famine Mode. You keep on a diet, you do not lose, you eat less, your metabolism drops some more. You start to feel like you have an ailment, give up and go to Baskin Robbins for a triple sugar cone.

Eating empty food keeps you eating. Eating real food, like whole grains, fresh produce, raw nuts - stuff your body can actually utilize (water treatment plants find loads of diet supplements that never get dissolved).
