Eating for Weight Loss

Question
Hi there,
I wanted to know about eating healthy so I can lose weight. I have a great exercise routine, and I just want an eating plan to compliment it.
Basically, I'm 22 years old, 5'10 and 153.5 pounds. I don't have a weight goal as how I look is more important to me then how much I weigh. I'm not sure how many calories I'm supposed to consume if I'm exercising 4-5 times a week. I try to eat alot of eggs (usually 3 scrambled eggs for breakfast but only 1 egg yolk), a tuna salad for lunch, and turkey sandwich with tomato and lettuce, with some veggies on the side (cooked with a little vegetable oil). I'm still living at home so I pretty much need to buy my own food. If I snack (which is rare), it's an apple. I drink coffee, water, and diet coke.
Am I consuming enough calories? Or too many?
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely, Leanne.

Answer
Hi leanne,
At your height you really don't have any weight to lose and your diet actually sounds kind of sparse. I would suggest paying more attention to the nutrition you are getting and how satisfied you feel after eating as opposed to how many calories you eat, especially while you are working out and maintaining a healthy weight.
I don't see any mention of fruits or dairy products, for instance. And why are you "on your own" for food if you are living at home... no family dinners? That might be a tradition you can help start!
